Matthias Jaissle has been looking ahead to Newcastle United taking on Leeds on Monday - but he couldn’t help but look over the past, too.
The Magpies head to Elland Road looking to continue their five-game unbeaten start to the season, a campaign which has seen them take five points from their opening three in the Premier League.
Jaissle says there’s room for improvement from his XI, but also the same can be said for referees. Jaissle was yellow-carded in the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth at the weekend while encouraging his players. And he’s highlighted the fact that his peers do the same yet there is no similar punishment. We all know who he is talking about!
On Inside NUFC’s YouTube channel we look over what we learned from Jaissle’s latest Newcastle United press conference. Here’s the best of what he said - including the veiled dig at Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.
I love the man. And really rate his comments. Great to have a gaffer who’s already got the league rattled
