Newcastle United can’t really defend properly. They can’t stop making errors leading to goals. They lack cohesion and connection from front to back. They either look like never scoring or incapable of finishing when they create. The strikers draw blanks. The midfielders ghost through games. Square pegs are shoved into round holes that often, it’s hard to know what shape they resemble in the end. The squad looks imbalanced, ill-equipped for the rigours of the Premier League, god forbid a cup run. They’re still relying on pre-takeover players to set standards. They have a woefully flawed, idealistic new strategy and system, without the quality to play it. Have an almost self-sabotaging new transfer policy. They’re gambling with our club’s future. And have a manager who doesn’t look like he has the answers to any of it.
Newcastle United feels like a recipe for disaster with a capital R.
