Newcastle United’s start really hasn’t been as bad as some make out - and here’s why.

All things told, it’s been a reasonable, if far from pretty, start to life at Newcastle United for Matthias Jaissle.

Results have come, grit has been shown, resilience tested. Eight points is no bad return from a set of fixtures the Magpies garnered only four from last season.
